If you are listing an AWB Painting

In addition to donations, you can list painting produced in the MnemeTherapy sessions, if you are
currently receiving services. If you are not receiving services, the MnemeTherapist from your local
chapter can come and volunteer 2 hours at no charge. 3-4 paintings can be produced during that
time and you can turn them back into services.

If there isn't a MnemeTherapist in your area, you can raise a team to bring one to your area for a
week, then use the paintings on the auction to bring them back again. Email here to find a traveling

Here are the rules you need to follow to list a painting

  1. MAKE SURE THE FAMILY MEMBER HAS SIGNED THE ARTIST'S RELEASE BEFORE THE
    CLIENT PAINTS. (see below)
  2. Starting price for all originals is $50.00
  3. Include that the painting was produce in the Art Without Boundaries Program during a session
    of MnemeTherapy™. (note that MnemeTherapy™ is all one word with a capital T. To do the ™
    hold down the alt button while typing in 0153.):
  4. In the description, tell if you are wiling to ship it.
  5. Mention that it is unframed and size is 12 x 12.
  6. Tell a little about the artist. Example:  Frank is a former fashion designer from New York. He
    was an avid golfer and this painting reminded him of the many happy hours he spent on the
    golf course. Frank is now a resident of The Sunset Club in Boca Raton, FL where he serves on
    the resident's council and enjoys canasta and outings with his friends.
  7. If you are willing to ship, mark seller will pay shipping costs, Make sure that you pack it well so
    the painting will not be damaged during shipping. Invoice us for shipping cost and we will send
    you a check to cover it out of your account. Provide a scan of the shipping receipt with the

Listing items on the AWB Auction

This is a private charity auction to benefit individuals with brain disorders by providing
MnemeTherapy free of charge. If you list anything, IT WILL BE A DONATION. Below are
instructions for listing. Please read through and print off the instructions.

Instructions for listing an item on the AWB Online Auction

Our auction works like ebay, in that you can post items yourself. (Except ours
is FREE!)

To list something:

  1. Go the auction page  (http://awbauction.org)  user name is bidder PIN is awb
  2. Log in with your user name and password ( if you haven't done that, look at the
    top and choose "register")
  3. Then, click on SELL at the top of the page.
You will list it under the category:" Items for local purchase only" "AWB
Paintings" or "Tag Sale
That will take you to a page where you will see "Sell an Item"
  1. Start your description with: AVAILABLE ONLY IN ______AREA
    (unless this is something you want to ship)
  2. Fill out the item name and description. Write an enticing description
    of the item or service. Put in as many details as you can. What the
    service includes, where they can receive the service, features of
    the item. If you are willing to ship and how much it will cost to ship it.
  3. .If you are posting an AWB painting, see section at bottom of
    page.
  4. After your description, make sure the category is correct (drop
    down menu)
  5. Hit next step

Uploading a picture

If you have a picture of the item or a picture that represents the service,
have that ready, stored on your computer. If you don't have a picture of
the service you're offering, you might be able to get one from Google
Images:
  1. Google search page (Google.com)
  2. Click on Images at the top of the page
  3. Type in what you are looking for
  4. When you find one you like click on it, and you will see it small at
    the top of he page. Click on "See full size image"
  5. Right click on the full size image and choose Save picture as
  6. If it says the picture type is jpeg you can save it in your picture files
    and retrieve it to upload it
  7. Remember where you stored it!

This is a charitable auction.
Anything you list will be given
as a donation. All funds will be
handled through the AWBF
and therefore will count as a
charitable donation for our
bidders.  If the money went to
you or through you, the winner
could not claim the deduction.
Confirmation page
  1. Read through the information carefully. If you have to go back to
    a previous screen, before you hit "next step" make sure
    everything is still there. The photo disappeared when I went back.
  2. If you have more to list, just hit sell at the top again. You may list
    personal items for sale, just remember the proceeds go for the
    service. This would be your donation. If they are items you are
    willing to ship and they are used, put them under "Tag Sale"
